John Woodnutt, entrepreneur and inventor of electronic lighting control technology, has been awarded an MBE for services to Business and Entrepreneurship in the 2023 New Year Honours list. The Delmatic system provides DALI control throughout the 73,000 sq.m complex and incorporates total DALI connectivity with DALI controllers, DALI presence detectors, DALI multisensors and DALI switches connecting directly to the network cable.
The project combines a selection of DALI approaches to suit the degree of flexibility and installation requirements within specific areas of the complex. In tenant office areas, DALI Plug-in modules provide rapid plug-in connectivity and total flexibility without the need to address ballasts: DALI lighting in core and circulation routes is controlled on a channel basis by DALI Broadcast modules while DALI Buswire application within parking zones allows flexible control of lighting zones and levels.
The Delmatic system forms part of the Connected Real Estate IP Network – a converged IP infrastructure which merges IT with twenty building services systems and acts as the fourth “information utility” within the building.The Delmatic network hardware transmits lighting management data across the IT/Ethernet network as well as via the GPRS & WiFi infrastructure allowing remote monitoring and control as well as transmitting monitored data and alerts direct to WAP and mobile devices.
